The Hank & Audrey Williams Center is a whole new idea in recovery centers. Think information central for people with substance abuse problems and/or their familiesŠ available online 24-7 and during daytime hours at a cool place with a self-help attitude, reference library, free online computer access, recovery related speakers, meditative gardens, and a belief in the healing power of music.

Audrey¹s Dream Inc is a non-profit 501 corporation founded by Lycrecia Williams Hoover and partner Dale Vinicur to honor Lycrecia¹s parents Hank & Audrey Williams.

Long before there was a Betty Ford Center in Southern California, Audrey dreamed of an alcohol recovery center in Nashville in Hank¹s name. She never forgave herself for his tragic alcohol-related death at the age of 29 and she wanted to help others avoid that fate. She departed this world at age 52, having turned to drink herself to ease the pain of losing Hank, but her dream lives on.

³We are starting with a Web site to give out information for those suffering from addictions and later we plan to have a facility where people in need can come and receive solid information so they can make the right choices for themselves and their families,² explains Lycrecia. ³We also want to have information about other problems these families might have, like domestic violence or homelessness.²

Fundraising for Audrey¹s Dream Inc. and The Hank & Audrey Williams Center will focus on enterprises, such as: Sales of Still In Love With You, A Daughter¹s True Story, a 1989 biography of Hank & Audrey by Lycrecia and Dale Vinicur (audio book soon to be available.)
