KAREN TAYLOR-GOOD BRINGS THE LUCK OF THE
IRISH TO BMI
(Nashville, Tenn.) Grammy-nominated
singer/songwriter Karen Taylor-Good brought the ³Luck of the Irish² to BMI
on Thursday with a St. Patrick¹s Day performance and reception.
The performance, which was held in the 6th floor
theater of BMI, showcased Karen¹s skills as a songwriter, vocal artist,
author and keynote speaker. Karen read excerpts from her book On Angels
Wings, which is a collection of vignettes and songs about real-life
situations and includes a companion CD.
Karen, who has won several ³Songwriter of the
Year² awards, sang various songs she¹s written and co-written, such as
³How Can I Help You Say Goodbye,² ³The OBG Why Me Blues,² and ³On Angels
Wings,² which had most of the audience in tears. Many of the songs are
included on her new album, Song Guru. She also gave the audience a glimpse
of what she¹s like as a keynote speaker, with her inspiring, motivating
and entertaining stories.
The event, which was attended by dozens of people
from the music industry, media and various organizations, including singer
Linda Davis, ended with a reception including wine and hors d¹oeuvres.
Karen is currently on tour as a keynote speaker
for The National Hospice Foundation, women¹s organizations, churches,
business organizations and health care organizations.
