(Nashville, TN) - HBM recording artist Blake Stamper¹s New Year¹s
Resolution is to not let his recent rush of success get to his head. Six
months ago he was an untapped talent in the hills of rural Kentucky with a
day job Stamper equates simply to ³dirt work.² Now, as 2004 begins to
unfold, Stamper¹s name and music are receiving attention on both national
and international charts. There¹s little chance of ego creeping up on
Blake, however, as the country artist built this momentum without glitz or
gimmick. He¹s making it the old fashioned way: hitting the pavement,
putting in the long days and nights, and building a loyal fan base of
³Hickabillies² who will follow him virtually anywhere.
The
effort put in to 2003 is starting to pay off in 2004. This year begins
with Blake Stamper¹s self-penned debut single ³Hickabilly Beat² at #42 on
the Texas Chart, #17 on the Progressive Country Chart, and numerous
appearances as high as top five positions on international charts.
The
music video for ³Hickabilly Beat² shot in College Station, TX and
Nashville, TN wrapped in late December and will be serviced to regional
and national television outlets in the coming months.
Stamper
just finished up a promotional club and radio DJ tour reaching nearly a
hundred radio stations throughout Texas promoting ³Hickabilly Beat² and
the upcoming January 27th release of his debut album, The Way Back to
Texas. He¹ll be hitting the road again tentatively in February for the
second leg of the tour; touring support of the album will take him back to
the Texas audience he loves.
³I¹m
looking for the Texan stamp of approval on the album material. Texans are
some of the best country music fans in the world, and if they come out to
my shows, kick back, have a good time, and ask when I¹ll be backŠthen I¹ll
know I did alright,² Stamper says.
