Tennessee¹s newest specialty plates are featuring the hottest sport in
the country right now: NASCAR. Racing fans will have an early chance to
reserve the new state of Tennessee¹s NASCAR specialty tag as preorders
have now begun for the tag. In the midst of the 2004 NASCAR season, the
push for the specialty plates is now. A 1,000-piece order must be placed
before the plates will be available at your county clerk¹s office.
Net proceeds from the sale of the tags will benefit both
the Tennessee State Museum Foundation and the Bristol Speedway
Children¹s Charities in East Tennessee as per legislation passed last
year. Tennessee motorists can fill out an application and submit a $35
check to participate in the pre-order for the tag. Personalized NASCAR
tags are also available for $70
To order a tag, interested persons should send a check, made out to
TSMF, for $35 along with owner information to the Tennessee State Museum
Foundation, 505 Deaderick St., Nashville, TN 37243-1120.
Owner information must include their current license plate number,
along with their name, address, county of residence, daytime phone
number, and signature.
Persons wishing personalized plates should send a check for $70 with
all the above information
