FORTY5 SOUTH PROVES THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH, TOO FAST
Debut Single “Back of My Truck”
Speeds up the Texas Music Chart
“I
really like “Back Of My Truck” a lot! I look forward to listening to the
rest of their CD. They have a fresh, young sound that bridges the gap
between traditional roots music and a more modern sound.” -KTKO
– Manny Moreno, PD – Beeville, TX
(Nashville, TN)— Forty5
South is doing their namesake proud as they took to the pavement in
Texas and ended up with a hit debut single. “Back of My Truck”
plowed through the Texas Music Chart making its first appearance at
#48 just two weeks ago. Seven days later, the Jackson, TN quintet watched
that single race to a cushy top thirty position landing at #23.
The raucous, summer anthem doubled its spins at radio and has earned the
boys the kind of buzz that warrants magazine covers. And the tune did
just that, as Forty5South will grace the August 20th cover of
New Music Weekly Magazine. The nationwide press kicks off
the promotion for the band’s August 24th national release of
their debut album on TILO Entertainment, Too Much, Too Fast.
With the whirlwind attention and swift success the band has embraced, they
may be rethinking the moniker of Too Much, Too Fast.
Forty5 South is comprised of
five Jackson, TN natives all in their early twenties with a talent for
infectious contemporary country. Forty5 South is more than an arbitrary
band name; it’s the road that ties the band together, quite literally. It
is highway 45-S that runs through the guys’ collective home of Jackson, TN
that keeps them connected. In fact, it all started off 45-S in the little
sports bar, Jimmy D’s. It was there at open mic nights that band founder
and lead vocalist Ashley Bowers had the idea to start a country band. “No
one plays country in Jackson.” With that, he recruited friends and locals
to form a band as influenced by country as it is by rock. The recruited
band is composed of vocalist Bowers, 22, drummer Tosh Newman, 22; bassist
Seth Gordon, 21; guitarist and mandolin player Phillip Lemmings, 24; and
guitarist Justin Tapley, 24.
