(Nashville, Tenn.) – The legendary Western Music Hall of Fame member Michael Martin Murphey is set to kickoff his spectacular Cowboy Christmas tour.  Murphey, who is America’s #1 selling Cowboy Singer, has won countless awards for his colorful and unique music. He created the Cowboy Christmas show, a musical play and production, which is in its 20^th year of sold-out shows.

The Cowboy Christmas Show is based on a long-standing tradition from the 1880s in Texas, the Cowboys’ Christmas Ball, which is still running today. Murphey has played at the ball for over 15 years.

The production includes sets, a large screen and many other special effects to evoke the spirit of the tradition of the Cowboys’ Christmas Ball. It also includes traditional Christmas songs and Michael Martin Murphey hits.

The Cowboy Christmas Show has received great reviews from the LA Times, The Denver Post and The Washington Post. Cities for this year’s tour include Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Grand Junction, Aspen, Prescott, Wichita Falls, Waco, Eureka Springs, and Austin.
