KAREN TAYLOR-GOOD BRINGS THE LUCK OF THE
IRISH TO BMI
(Nashville, Tenn.) –
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Karen Taylor-Good brought the “Luck of
the Irish” to BMI on Thursday with a St. Patrick’s Day performance and
reception.
The performance, which was
held in the 6th floor theater of BMI, showcased Karen’s skills
as a songwriter, vocal artist, author and keynote speaker. Karen read
excerpts from her book On Angels Wings, which is a
collection of vignettes and songs about real-life situations and includes
a companion CD.
Karen, who has won several
“Songwriter of the Year” awards, sang various songs she’s written and
co-written, such as “How Can I Help You Say Goodbye,” “The OBG Why Me
Blues,” and “On Angels Wings,” which had most of the audience in tears.
Many of the songs are included on her new album, Song Guru.
She also gave the audience a glimpse of what she’s like as a keynote
speaker, with her inspiring, motivating and entertaining stories.
The event, which was attended
by dozens of people from the music industry, media and various
organizations, including singer Linda Davis, ended with a reception
including wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Karen is currently on tour as
a keynote speaker for The National Hospice Foundation, women’s
organizations, churches, business organizations and health care
organizations.
