ITS ANOTHER WILD
BREAKFAST AT THE WILDHORSE SALOON
(Nashville, Tenn.)
The Nashville Association of Talent Directors (NATD) is set to host their
annual complementary breakfast at the Wildhorse Saloon, Wed., Oct. 13 in
honor of the iebalive! 2004 conference. iebalive! 2004 is an annual
entertainment industry conference put on by the International
Entertainment Buyers Association and held in Nashville from Sunday
October 10th through Wednesday, October 13th.
Hundreds of entertainment industry professionals from Performing Arts
Centers, Casinos, Fairs and Festivals will be in town to learn and grow at
this conference.
Doors open at 8:30 AM on
Wednesday for the famous NATD breakfast. Food is served up at 9:00 and
the program is set to run until 10:30. Included will be a special
concert by legendary rock group Air Supply and scholarships that
will be awarded to two deserving Belmont students; Kimberly Howell and
Melissa Rau. Awards to be presented are: the Talent Director of Year
Award, The Hubert Long Award, and the rarely given Colonel Tom Parker
Award; all of which will be presented by different surprise celebrities.
This years event will
undoubtedly follow the success of previous years breakfasts, which have
included performances by Crystal Gayle, The Bellamy Brothers, Rhonda
Vincent, The Pajama Party starring Deborah Allen, The Kinleys and
Michelle Wright and many more. Surprise guest presenters have included
LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw, Trick Pony, Ray Stevens, Porter Wagoner, Clay
Walker, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt and more..
NATD The Nashville
Association of Talent Directors, which was started in 1958, is the oldest
music trade organization in Nashville. Originally formed to identify bad
buyers and connect the local Nashville talent agencies, today NATD has
turned into a vibrant continuing education organization. Their monthly
lunch meetings present speakers and topics on various state of the art
subjects in the entertainment industry including: XM Radio, eBay and
more. A current lunch crowd boasted over 1,325 years of combined
experience in the music industry talk about a power lunch!
NATD is currently headed by
President Ed Bazel, first Vice-President Bonnie Sugarman, and second
Vice-President Rod Harris. This breakfast is a great opportunity for those
interested in joining NATD (both people who are already working in the
music industry and those who are interested in entering the industry) to
meet current members, network and see how joining would be beneficial.
Those interested in joining, but cant attend the breakfast are welcome to
come to any one of their lunch meetings. These meetings are every second
Tuesday of the month at 11:30 am at Nick & Rudys restaurant. Membership
dues are $100 a year. Students interested in joining will receive a
special discounted rate of only $25.
