Singer Regina
Belle Taking Spotlight in Music City for an Elegant Evening of Jazz
(Nashville) Grammy-winning artist Regina Belle is celebrating her latest
hit CD,
Lazy Afternoon,
in Nashville with a live performance on Sunday, April 10th at
Level 88 Jazz Bistro (located at 609 9th Avenue South-near
Division Street). Show time is set for 6 p.m. The event is being
presented by Nothing But Love Entertainment.
Belle
teamed up with veteran music producer George Duke to record Lazy
Afternoon. The album is a soulful collection of jazz as well as
rhythm & blues. Songs include Lazy Afternoon, If I Ruled the World,
and a remix of the Isley Brothers hit, For the Love of You.
The
singing sensation says her latest CD is an expression of life and love
that she placed her whole heart and soul into. The goal was to really
combine the R&B and jazz stuff, just mesh it together and make it work.
I'm hoping fans will be appreciative of my efforts" the songstress says.
Belle
has climbed the charts with numerous hits during her two-decade career
with songs such as Baby Come to Me and the smash duet with Peabo Bryson,
A Whole New World.
The New
Jersey native currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, former NBA
player John Battle. She is the mother of five children. Belle works
tirelessly with her mate, a minister, to serve those less fortunate
through an organization the couple formed nearly a decade ago in their
community known as Feed the Homeless.
Belle will be in Nashville for one show only on April 10th.
