Her career has soared as a result of her talent for developing content and recognizing the most appropriate home for it utilizing multiple platforms. While heading up Miles Copeland’s Nashville division of Firstars Management and Ark 21 Records, Brown worked with Keith Urban, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton and Leon Russell in various capacities to both launch and propel their careers. Serving as distribution consultant and music supervisor for the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation, Brown coordinated the distribution of the documentary “For the Love of Music: The Story of Nashville” on ABC. On the other side of the camera, Brown starred as a judge for three seasons of the USA Network talent competition “Nashville Star.” Understanding the value of a team and that stronger networks helps everyone excel, Brown led the charge to grow a self-sustaining film, TV, scoring and post-production industry in Nashville establishing Southern Lights, a Content Creation Alliance in 2019. This industry leadership is one of the many reasons why she was honored with the 2014 “Trailblazer Award” from the Council on Workforce Innovation and Variety magazine’s 2015 “Music City Impact Award.” In Tennessee, former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Gov. Bill Haslam have both awarded Brown with the “Trailblazer Award” for her endeavors that have changed the landscape of the Nashville entertainment industry and for her support to encourage opportunities and equality for women in the workforce.
