“We are beyond excited to release a track from this new project,” says Jericho Woods lead vocalist/guitarist Josh Mitcham. “We were so humbled to work with Skidd. His vision and direction for the group put a fresh new take on the Jericho Woods sound. We think the fans will really enjoy this next project.”
“I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of this project,” says Mills. “Their energy on stage is infectious. It is also great to see a band that you can tell spends plenty of time in the ‘woodshed’… great hooks and solid chops. I see big things ahead for Jericho Woods!”
Fans can preorder Better Now, the lead vocalist Josh Mitcham and bassist Paul Priest co-penned tune, on iTunes by CLICKING HERE! The track will be available on all major online retailers on Friday, October 28th.
Better Now challenges the listener to take a look at their own lives and find that person that has had a positive impact on their life and its direction – a spouse, significant other, parent, child, friend, educator, doctor, etc. A music video for the single is projected for a November release and hints are a reality show favorite could star in the production.
This trio, with full band live shows, spent 2015 and 2016 on the road promoting their debut album Same Ol’ Dirt which premiered in the Top 8 on the Billboard Heatseeker Charts and in the Top 25 on the iTunes Country Album Chart. The entertainment industry is a buzz about these bluegrass-reared tunesmiths with CMA Journalist of the Year and Billboard reporter Chuck Dauphin calling them, “One of the most talked about in the industry.”
About Jericho Woods
Kentucky has always been known for Bluegrass and Bourbon, but the roots of Jericho Woods run deeper than that into the veins and musical culture of this region. “I dig this band, they know their roots, haven’t gotten above their raisin; and do know their state and musical heritage,” says Greg Martin of The Kentucky Headhunters. Jericho Woods fuses the Grand Ole Opry with Muscle Shoals. A musical experience that only boys brought up in this diverse commonwealth could produce.
To date, they have been featured in the following: Billboard, CMA Close Up, Kentucky Living (reigning #1 performing musical act as voted on by their readers), Music Row, Nashville Country Club, Nashville Music Guide, The Daily Country, the Amplifier and on television and radio stations across the nation.
They are endorsed by Risen Amps, NS Design, Bourbon 30 and D’Adarrio. On the club and festival circuit, the boys have opened for names such as Tim McGraw, Dwight Yoakam, Sturgill Simpson, Cassadee Pope, Devon Allman, The Cadillac 3, Sundy Best and Whitey Morgan.
