About Peg Luke
Peg Luke began learning piano at the age of five and flute at the age of seven. She has certainly carved out her own original journey, utilizing not only her flute skills, but her piano and compositional skills as well. Luke attended Northern Illinois University, where she quickly won the coveted Concerto Competition during her sophomore year. While doing her Doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota, British flautist Geoffrey Gilbert sensed her innate connection to the instrument and advised her to “go out and just play the flute.”
Peg Luke has done just that, performing at Carnegie Hall, Cadogan Hall, the National Flute Convention, and many more. Peg and her husband Jack spent the past year in Nashville, Tennessee working on her dream project, “Psalm Space.” Not only is this project composed by Peg and inspired by her favorite Psalms, but she’s also a featured performer on the project. Luke has been working with multi-Grammy award winning producer, Neal Merrick Blackwood on “Psalm Space.”
