Renowned Singer And Broadway Actor Gary Morris Releases “Sense Of Pride”
Project Co-produced By Michael Bonagura (Baillie & The Boys)
Gary Morris, renowned singer, songwriter and Broadway actor, released “Sense of Pride” today to all major online retailers including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and more.
The 13th release of his career, “Sense of Pride” is co-produced by Morris and Michael Bonagura (Baillie & The Boys) and features eight songs written or co-written by Morris. The ninth tune was co-written by Bonagura and wife Kathie Baillie.
“‘Sense of Pride’ is the most personal musical work I’ve attempted,” Morris says. “The project has personal perspectives about my life and how I see the world. This music would not have happened without the help and perspective of Michael Bonagura. Kathie Baillie sings on two of the songs and their daughter Alyssa Bonagura sings harmony on one of the songs. The entire family is a big part of this record.
Baillie duets with Morris on “In My Dreams” and “The Moment.” Bonagura and Baillie’s tremendously talented daughter Alyssa Bonagura, part of The Sisterhood with Ruby Stewart (Rod’s daughter), sings with Gary on “Where Were You?”
“Working with Gary was a creative journey that took us both deep into our personal emotions,” Bonagura says. “Gary knew exactly what he wanted this album to sound like and I was instantly taken in by the magic of the music. Drawing from our musical roots it has a sound that is familiar and current. It turned out to be one of my favorite projects of the past several years.”
Recently signed with PLA Media in Nashville, Morris launched “Sense of Pride” with a media blitz in Music City, and national interviews in major markets in the U.S. including New York City, where he continues to be known as the voice of Jean Valjean in the Broadway sensation, Les Misérables.
“I have long been an admirer of Gary’s talent and range as an entertainer and virtuoso singer,” PLA Media President and CEO Pam Lewis said. “The timing is perfect to work with him on his new project. He is timeless.”
