Shelby Lee Lowe Added to PLA Media’s Award-Winning Roster
PLA Media is proud to add Tennessee native Shelby Lee Lowe to its roster as he preps the release of his next project Something in Me. Growing up just an hour from Nashville, Shelby was bound to step into the country music scene after his great uncle introduced him to the guitar in high school.
“We’ve kept our eyes on Shelby’s career since he released his first album four years ago,” says PLA Media Executive Director Mark Logsdon. “I recall watching him win over an audience at an IEBA show, but what truly impressed me was observing him work the crowd afterwards. He has an ability to connect with people one-on-one as well as on stage. That is a gift that cannot be taught. We are excited to share his new EP with the country music community in October.”
Shelby has an impressive touring background as he’s opened for Brett Young, Charlie Daniels, Chris Janson, Michael Ray, Cowboy Troy, Sister Hazel, Jordan Rager, Darryl Worley and Big Smo. Additional highlights include performances for NASCAR audiences at the Bristol Motor Speedway and the Circle K Speed Street (Charlotte, NC), the Atlanta Braves, Jack Daniel’s, CMA Fest, the Harley Davidson Independence Day Bash, SC Air & Ground Expo, etc. Shelby currently serves as a brand ambassador for Durango Boots, Kyser Capos, PRA Audio Systems and Tunz by Starkey Hearing Technologies.

About Shelby Lee Lowe
Shelby Lee Lowe, a Possum Trot, Tenn. native and former high school linebacker, is a country songwriter and performer who delivers a sound that can best be described as a modern adaptation of traditional country. He would first pick up the guitar and start honing his craft in high school under the mentorship of his great uncle, a penitentiary worker who had formed a band with some of the inmates. Shelby, a graduate of MTSU’s Recording Industry program, has acquired publishing and booking deals since the release of his debut, self-titled album in 2016. Influenced by the Bakersfield sound, Shelby would find his own lane in the genre and put in the grassroots work securing opening slots for Charlie Daniels, Brett Young, Michael Ray, Chris Janson, Darryl Worley & Sister Hazel. He has also performed on stages and for branded partnerships such as the Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR’s Speed Street (Charlotte, NC), Atlanta Braves, Sturgis, CMA Fest, The Harley Davidson Independence Day Bash and more.
