The Malpass Brothers Announce Road of Memories Tour 2025
Marking their 25th year of touring, The Malpass Brothers have announced the first leg of their Road of Memories Tour 2025.
These modern-day traditionalists have been mentored and credentialed by the biggest legends of bluegrass and country music, including Merle Haggard, Doyle Lawson, and many more. The brother duo delivers new, yet traditional music for modern times (complete with pearl-snap shirts, Manuel/Nudie suits, over-shaped cowboy hats, and pompadour coiffure). Their firm “traditionalism” has captured the attention of the industry and traditional country fans, leading to worldwide notoriety, including appearances on syndicated television, the iconic Grand Ole Opry, and now, their own television series on the RFD-TV network.
The Malpass Brothers made their Grand Ole Opry debut in December of 2018 and have been asked to return to the hallowed circle well over a dozen times since. The brother duo has headlined international tours and festivals in Ireland, Switzerland, and in Scotland, and been featured on multiple national television shows including TBN’s “The Huckabee Show” and RFD’s “Country’s Family Reunion” and “Larry’s Country Diner”—and compilation of performances from the later was released earlier this year.
Always forward-looking, the brothers have also announced new management and booking as part of their team. Legendary Texas radio figure Tracy Pitcox comes aboard as management, and the duo returns to Nashville’s Agency-etc., a boutique booking agency headed up by veteran music entrepreneur, Dan Mann.
Pitcox began his career in radio in 1986, and has been chairman of the Heart of Texas Country Music Association since it was formed in 1989. His book, “Legendary Conversations With A Texas Disc Jockey” was published in 2008. The book contains interviews with over ninety country music entertainers from Garth Brooks to Kitty Wells and shows his passion for preserving the history of the genre’s entertainers. He also founded the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum in Brady, Texas which honors over 125 Country Music artists with memorabilia from the estates of legends. Throughout his career, Pitcox has received a number of awards for his work from the country music community, including being inducted into the Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame. Pitcox is president of Heart of Texas Records. He was inducted into the Texas Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame in 2017.
“The first time I saw The Malpass Brothers live, I was literally amazed and knew they would become an integral part in preserving Traditional Country Music,” Pitcox says. “ After working with them for many years, I was honored that they ask me to join them in a managerial position. We are indeed excited about the future of The Malpass Brothers and their role in the industry.”
Mann of Agency-etc. spent more than 20 years in the Christian Country Music market, booking and managing artists and speakers, managing record labels, and publishing fan magazines before turning his sights on the performing arts, festival, and fair markets.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have the Malpass Brothers return to Agency-etc.,” Mann says. “We worked together for more than seven years and are looking forward to another long run. We’ve started work on a great new tour and look to expand their footprint with performances in new markets and with incredible new music.”
The Malpass Brothers previously announced their selection of Nashville’s PLA Media, headed up by industry veteran Pam Lewis, for publicity representation.
“I’m super excited with this team,” Chris Malpass says. “Tracy Pitcox is a great person and had so much knowledge about this music. He is a true ambassador of traditional country music and has done so much for this music and this business. For booking, Dan Mann and Randa Blackmon are is a great team. Everybody loves Dan and Randa and we couldn’t be more happy to be back with Dan’s agency. Pam’s team at PLA Media is known for decades of excellence. We look forward to many successful years to come with this team of friends.”
